The Competition is open to men and women who do not gain livelihood competing in the sport entered. Participants must be 50+ by December 2009 for all sports. In some sports, commissioners are accepting players as young as 40.
Age division for competition is in five (5) year increments: (50-54, 55-59, 60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79,80-84,85-89,90+). Age determined as of 12/31/09.
*Exceptions: Doubles and team sports.The age of the youngest player determines the age division for doubles and team sports.
The NWSG reserves the right to combine age categories or to cancel events due to lack of entrants. Some sports commissioners will be accepting players in the 40-44 and 45-49 age groups
There will be an athletic check-in at each sports venue. Check-in is required on the first day of the competition. If participating in more than one event, check-in is required for each event entered. Upon registration athletes will receive bottled water, event T-shirt, information about the NWSG and various services in the Seattle Area.
Parking is available at most event locations. For details, refer to each sport discription listed on this website.
If registering in more than one sport, athletes are encouraged to choose the sport of most interest. Refer to Event Schedule to avoid conflicts. Times may be adjusted to avoid conflict but cannot be guaranteed. Contact the specific event's Sport Commissioner for possible accomodation. In case of inclement weather or unusual circumstances, the NWSG Officials reserve the right to delay, postpone or cancel any event.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals will be presented to the winners of each division for each event.
Some venues will be providing lunches or snack food, all athletes will receive bottled water. Check your sport commissioner to find out what type of food will be available at your sport's venue.
All fields, courts, nets, standards, balls, and shuttlecocks are provided by the NWSG. Athletes are required to supply their own personal equipment for events entered.

The Registration Fee helps offset the administrative expenses and such as programs, athletes bags, medals, security, emergency medical personnel, equipment, printed materials. T-shirts, food and more.
